Maverick The worlds largest builder of shallow water fishing boats. Maverick introduced the new V.A.R.I.S. (Vacuum Assisted Resin Infusion System) construction method into their Mirage lineup in 2002. This method allows for a more precise way of injecting the resin (hardener) into the laminates (fiberglass, Kevlar, or carbon fiber) than ever before thought possible. This method reduces weight by eliminating excess resign and makes for a stronger bond between the laminates. Maybe that is why the Mirage HPX series are the most sought after skiffs by guides in the Florida Keys.

Hewes The grandfather of all flats boats. This is the boat that started it all over 50 years ago. Today these boats are lighter, stronger, faster, and safer than ever before. With the 16 Redfisher starting in the low $20's, up to the 21 Redfisher, the Hewes boats are more versatile, easier to maintain, and hold their value better than almost any other shallow water skiff.
